Hello from the Big Apple
Wow has it been a while since I have done a new post. So much has happened recently so its time to update everyone.
I have recently moved to Astoria and I love it! I live in a quiet area off of a main road and its just the right area for where I am in my life. Tutu is still going strong. She had a few medical scares but she has had no other problems for several months now. She does has asthma so there are some precautions we have to take now to make sure she doesn't have a flare up again.
I am still working at Harry Potter and the Cursed Child as well as working with TED NYC when they have talks and events in their New York theatre. On top of those jobs I am also working a few events with Mustard Lane from time to time as well as teaching a few classes at Discovery Programs with their gymnastics department. I am always working and just trying to get my feet under me so I can do more things outside of work.
Something that I did not post about this summer that I maybe should have was that I directed my first NYC show! Mitch Ward a college friend of mine wrote a one act that was chosen to be a part of the Secret Theatre LIC One Act festival. The Plunge premiered in their festival July 11th and we ran once a week for 5 weeks. That was an amazing opportunity and I am incredibly grateful for my actors, playwright and the theatre for being a part of my NYC debut. I will be posting the whole performance as well as a few photos in my works page so stay tuned!
Big things coming soon from me so stayed tuned! I am here in New York ready to buckle down and show the world what Aubrey is all about.
Signing off for now,
Aubrey and Tutu
